Yes, we are still here.
Well, I've just gone through and uploaded a ton of photos from December, January, and February. I have not been posting, but I have been taking them.
We are still here. Kaesea is, miraculously, still here. It will be three years next month since our ordeal (and this blog) began. At that time, we were told we could expect to have Kaesea for two more years. So we are totally in bonus time now.
Kaesea is very skinny these days, but he is still eating well. We have recently tried some new foods that seem to be hitting the spot, although some of the old favorites (like kibble) also get demolished from time to time. Some days are better than others -- when he doesn't eat for a day, I think, "Is this it? Are you done?" and then I come home the next day and he has eaten two full bowls of food. Don't try to predict what Kaesea is going to do -- he does his own thing.
Despite his skinniness, he is still fluffy (as you can see from the photos I have just posted), he still jumps up on the bathroom sink to drink water from the faucet, and he still plays with toys if the mood strikes him. So he's just chugging along and we could not be happier to have him.
I will try not to let so much time before posting photos again, but... no promises. We're gearing up to move across the country in the coming months, so that will be exciting and hectic and nerve-wracking. But I'll do my best to keep the blog up-to-date.
