Purring

I woke up this morning to find Kaesea curled up next to me. He was kneading my arm with his paws, his face was resting in my open palm, and he was purring like a motorboat. If cats can smile, this cat was.

Over the past several weeks, many people have asked me in direct and not-so-direct ways if I have considered euthanasia for Kaesea. I am here to say, yes, at every step during this entire process, I have asked myself if it would be better for Kaesea for this to be over.

And, at every step, he has turned a corner, gotten a bit better, and always, always, continued to purr in my hand and make happy biscuits with his paws. If that stops, I will too. Until then, I choose this.
